Who We Work With
Junior Athletes (Ages 11-18)
Athletes with potential and room to grow. Happy, outgoing, willing to learn. We take The Coaching Perspective, developing the whole person across four dimensions: Physical, Technical, Psychological, and Social.
Adult Recreational Runners
Runners who already train regularly and want to improve. Not Couch-to-5K beginners, but established runners seeking structure, feedback, and sustainable progress. Whether you are chasing a parkrun PB or training for your best marathon, we can help.

Our Approach
The Three-Way Partnership(Junior Athletes)
For young athletes, coaching works best as a partnership between coach, parent, and athlete. The athlete sets their goals and the coach and parent work together to guide and support.
Evidence-Based, Individually Tailored
Every programme is built on sound training principles, then adapted to your specific needs, goals, and circumstances. We explain the reasoning behind every decision, so you understand your training, not just follow it.
Fun With Serious Intent
Training should be enjoyable AND purposeful. We are here to help you improve, to stretch, to achieve something meaningful. But we believe the journey should be one you want to take; happiness is found each day in the journey, with the PB at the end being the cherry on top.

Service Offerings
Junior Athletes (1:1 Coaching)
Individual coaching through Athletic Ascent for athletes aged 11-18. Personalised programming, regular check-ins, and progress tracking.
Adult Runners (1:1 Coaching)
Individual coaching for adult recreational runners. Structure, accountability, and evidence-based programming for your goals.
Group Sessions (Charnwood AC Members)
Group training sessions held at Charnwood AC (Paula Radcliffe Stadium, Loughborough University) on Mondays and Wednesdays. Available to club members.
Getting Started
Initial Conversation
We start with a chat - no commitment, no sales pitch. We want to understand your goals, your background, and whether we are a good fit for each other.
Discovery & Profiling
For those who proceed, we gather information about the whole person - not just running history, but lifestyle, commitments, other sports, and what success looks like for you.
Programme Design
Based on your profile and goals, we design a programme tailored to your needs. We explain the reasoning, so you understand your training from day one.
Ongoing Partnership
Regular check-ins, programme adjustments based on feedback, and continuous support. Coaching is a relationship, not a transaction.
